Sections of Central Avenue and connecting roadways are undergoing improvements including water and sewer upgrades, resurfacing, and water main lining. The work will entail full closures of the areas under construction and detour signage will be posted to reroute traffic.

These improvements were identified as part of the Building Better Roads plan and will help prepare the area roadways for the increased and changed traffic patterns expected following the opening of the North Commuter Parkway next year.
