Nutrien Playland at Kinsmen Park
Celebrate the magic of play at Nutrien Playland with three star attractions that delight children and adults alike.
Soar high above the city on the 20 metre high Ferris wheel or have a twirl on a bright and cheery carousel animal. Hop aboard for a whistle-stop tour on the Canpotex Train - a park favourite. This replica moden-day freight train rolls along a 626 metre loop through the park.
Follow the pathways around the park or run free in the play areas. Work the pumps, troughs and valves in the water area or tackle the log climber and double cable ride in the sand. With many beautiful trees and rocks in the natural play space, it’s easy to forget you’re in city centre. The play area is always open and there are no admission fees.
This delightful attraction at the heart of Saskatoon is possible thanks to the generous support from Nutrien, Canpotex and Canadian Pacific. Additional support is received from Tourism Saskatoon and Tourism Saskatchewan.
Please note: rides do not operate if there is inclement weather.
Three parking lots are available: the Nutrien Playland parking lot, across the street at the Mendel site and north of the YWCA (off Kinsmen Avenue).

Kinsmen Park Master Plan Information
Kinsmen Park Master Plan Updates
The Kinsmen Park and Area Master Plan will transform the park into a memorable and enjoyable place for all ages and abilities year-round, while continuing to support local communities and the growing downtown population. The Master Plan sets the framework to guide detailed design of the park and area over the next 25 years. It was approved by City Council in 2011 and phase one construction completed Summer 2015.

Kinsmen Play Village Updates
Kinsmen Play Village featured a paddling pool and playground in various forms since 1930. In 2016, work began on the Play Village as part of phase two of the Master Plan.
The former paddling pool, concrete and building structures have been removed and popular pelican slide from the paddling pool has been donated to the Children’s Discovery Museum. The accessible play structure, tot lot play structure, saucer swings and balance beam remain in place and the rubber surface was upgraded in Summer 2017. Future revitalization includes new landscaping and plantings. Kinsmen Play Village may be closed at times throughout the construction process, so watch for updates.
